Sir Winston AI is a WhatsApp-based golf league assistant operated by Matthew Van Wely. The service delivers league standings, rankings, skins results, tee times, and scorecard highlights to members of participating golf leagues via WhatsApp messaging. You can reach us at support@sirwinstonai.com.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to golf league members who receive WhatsApp messages from Sir Winston AI, and to any person who interacts with the assistant via WhatsApp. Members are registered by league administrators — the service is not open to the general public, and we do not collect data from individuals who have not been registered by a participating league.

3. What Data We Collect

When you interact with Sir Winston AI via WhatsApp, we may collect:

• Your WhatsApp phone number
• Your name and nickname as entered by your league administrator
• Golf scores and league participation data entered by your administrator
• The content of messages you send to the assistant
• Timestamps of interactions

We do not collect payment information, email addresses, or location data unless you voluntarily provide them in a message.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the information collected solely to:

• Respond to your WhatsApp queries about the golf league
• Deliver standings, rankings, skins results, and tee times to league members
• Allow league administrators to manage tee times and availability
• Improve the accuracy and helpfulness of the assistant

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose. We do not send unsolicited messages or marketing communications.

5. Consent and Opt-In

You receive WhatsApp messages from Sir Winston AI because a league administrator registered you as a member of a participating golf league. By participating in the league and interacting with the assistant, you consent to receiving league-related WhatsApp messages as described in this policy.

You may opt out at any time — see Section 6 below.

6. Opting Out

You may stop receiving WhatsApp messages from Sir Winston AI at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message from Sir Winston AI
• Contacting your league administrator
• Emailing support@sirwinstonai.com

7. Third-Party Services

Sir Winston AI relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — message delivery and receipt
• Anthropic — AI processing of messages via the Claude API
• Google — league data storage via Google Sheets

Each third party's data handling is governed by their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.

8. Data Retention

Message content is processed in real time and is not stored permanently beyond what is required to operate the service. Phone numbers and league data may be retained for the duration of your league membership. You may request deletion of your data at any time — see our Data Deletion Instructions.

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of receiving WhatsApp messages from the assistant
